In a landmark gesture promoting environmental sustainability, Mr. Saman Priyankara, Chairman of Sayuri International and the Karunakarala Group, presented a Rs. 5 million donation voucher to His Excellency, the President of Sri Lanka, on behalf of the Sri Lanka Association in Japan (SLAJ). The presentation took place during the official opening ceremony held at the Presidential Secretariat.

This contribution is in support of the Clean Sri Lanka Project, a national initiative dedicated to enhancing the country's environmental standards through sustainable waste management, conservation programs, and public awareness campaigns.

Karunakarala Ayurveda Resort, under the leadership of Mr. Priyankara, is widely recognized for its commitment to eco-conscious hospitality and responsible tourism. While the donation was officially made under SLAJ, Karunakarala remains a proud advocate and active supporter of the project’s mission to build a cleaner and greener Sri Lanka.
